Los Angeles County Adult Adoption Court - Paternal Uncle age 37 adopts Niece age 21.  In this case, the Adoptee/Niece is estranged from her father who was never present while she was growing up.  Adoptee/Niece was effectively raised by her Uncle (father's brother) as the only father figure in her life.  Uncle and Niece wanted to legally recognize the relationship of father/daughter and legally make Niece a formal part of his family.  Time from case filing to approved adoption order decree was under two weeks (12 days exactly).
