Los Angeles County Adoption Court - Adult Adoption - fix errors made by unrepresented person who completed an Adult Adoption without an attorney 10 years earlier, but the Petition and Judge's order were so erroneous that the State of California would not honor the adoption.  Adult Adoption Attorney analyzed the case and filed the Amended Petition and Amended Order, which the Judge agreed with.  The new Judge's order allowed the Petitioner to move on with her life and obtain documentation in the correct name.  This case came with a mop & bucket as an extreme clean-up job and therefore cost the Petitioners more in the long run.  It is better to hire an attorney from the beginning to have the case done right the first time.
